Oxidized
The metal shades, finished in raw, oxidized aluminium, embody an industrial aesthetic with a bold, solid presence that seamlessly harmonizes with their richly textured, almost concrete-like surface. Each piece is expertly oxidized by skilled artisans, ensuring a one-of-a-kind, refined texture that captures the raw essence of craftsmanship. The rugged beauty of oxidized aluminium exudes a modern, brutalist sophistication, while the soft glow of light accentuates its artisanal depth, creating an ambiance that is both striking and contemporary.
The products of cast aluminium have small marks and variations from the casting process, therefore small holes and unevenness might occur. Products made of cast aluminium is not recommended for outdoor use. Standing outside will cause the product to rust. Resembling architectural concrete facades, the Oxidized aluminium colour is made from a special acid treatment. The metal is dipped in acid for a very short time, creating a raw mat grey surface and leaving large sporadic marks.

Inspired by architecture
The metal finishes of 101 Copenhagen are characterized by treated and rich surfaces, emphasizing the unique potential and qualities of each metal. The finishes of brass, bronze and burned black are all plated one or two times to create a layered metal finish with a subtle warmth. Subsequent to the plating, all metal colours are hand brushed to achieve a beautiful patinated look. Finally, the colour is spray painted with a mat transparent paint, adding a silky mat finish to the metal.
